    No it isn’t. DC can do a book with that character any time they want.

    Sure, they can’t call that book Captain marvel. But in fairness, that’s all an outgrowth of them having sued the character out of existence in the 1950s. So what goes around comes around.

    Not only am I kind of underwhelmed by the re-whatever, but I worry that it’s age related.

    Objectively, I understand what they’re doing, even have a sense why – the market changes. Still, to me, there’s been too big a loss of writing talent. Not saying that that I’m right or anything. Just a very subjective perspective that may lack factual support.

    Time will tell.
